Miss Elizabeth Nkiru Nganna, an Abia-born fashion designer based in Abuja, has emerged as the first ever Miss Olamma Africa Queen, following the maiden edition of the Pageant which held in Enugu on Saturday February 13, 2021.

In a very keen contest massively applauded for its transparent processes, Miss Nganna, from Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, beat 23 other contestants from other states in the South East to emerge the Queen.

She was immediately presented with a cheque of N1.5m and a car by the CEO of Miss Olamma Africa Pageant, Ogbuefi Emmanuel Ezima. The event which held at The Base – believed to be the most prestigious event centre in Enugu – attracted the presence of eminent personalities from the public and private sectors, including the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who was represented by the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ugonna Ibe. Other dignitaries who graced the event include the Group Executive Chairman/CEO of Chicason Group, Amb. (Dr) Marksman Chinedu Ijioma, celebrity Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje); Nollywood icons – John ‘Mr. Ibu’ Okafor, Rita Edochie; popular musicians, J. Martins and Otigba; comedians, business and media executives.

The newly crowned Queen, Elizabeth Nkiru Nganna expressed gratitude to God and commended the organisers for fulfilling their promise to present all prizes and the car immediately after the results were announced by the panel of judges. She said that the maiden Miss Olamma Africa Pageant has already set a laudable example and advised other Pageant organisers to learn from such an example.
Miss Olamma Africa Pageant is designed as the biggest pan-Igbo pageant in the world, anchored on the principles and objectives of Igbo renaissance.
